MISSION STATEMENT
To bring about a closer relationship between all Deacons of the Baptist Churches; and to assist in their spiritual growth and development in accordance with Acts 6:3&1stTimothy 3:8-11.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote spiritual interest; To foster closer relationship between all deacons of the Baptist Churches; To discuss the principle and duties applying to deacons of our churches; To discuss in depth, how we can better assist our pastors in advancing the general interest of the church both temporal and spiritual; To participate in home mission work; To give aid to the sick and distress and to support the activities of the State and National Deacons Conventions.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership shall consist of Ordained Baptist Deacons who are actively participating in carrying out the role and function of a Deacon in their respective Churches.
HOW YOU CAN BECOME A MEMBER
You can join as an individual Ordained Deacon being a member in good standing of a Baptist Church in Richmond and Vicinity.
MEETINGS
The regular meeting of the Conference shall be held on the Monday after the fourth Sunday of each month except July (Sabbatical).
